Opening hours

September 16 to May 14
10am - 12:30pm and 2pm - 5:30pm

May 15 to September 15
10am - 12:30pm and 2pm - 6:30pm

Please note: last access to the monument 45 minutes before closing time.

Closed

Closed on January 1, May 1, November 1 and December 25.

The monument is closed every Monday.

Georges Clemenceau's house and gardens will be closed all day on Tuesday 7 January 2025.

  • Anyone coming with a tourism professional, with no minimum number of visitors.
  • All groups (adults, schools, special groups) must book a guided or self-guided tour in advance with the monument's reservations department by telephone on 02 51 33 40 32 or by e-mail: maison.clemenceau@monuments-nationaux.fr (Tuesday to Sunday, 10am to 12.30pm and 2pm to 5.30pm).

By train

The nearest station is La Roche-sur-Yon or Les Sables d'Olonne.

By bike

Saint-Vincent-sur-Jard has many cycle paths and is on the Vélodyssée and Vendée à Vélo itineraries.

Parking for bicycles in the car park near the monument. 

Luggage lockers available 100 metres from the monument.

By car

A11 from Paris, then A87 towards La Roche-sur-Yon. 
From Les Sables-d'Olonne: exit 4, D 949 towards Fontenay-le-Comte, then D 21 towards Jard-sur-Mer and Saint-Vincent-sur-Jard.
From Niort: N 148 to Fontenay-le-Comte, D 949 to La Guignardière then D 19 to Saint-Vincent-sur-Jard. 
Georges Clemenceau's house is located by the ocean.
Free parking is available close to the monument, with spaces reserved for disabled people.

The nearest charging point for electric cars is in Jard-sur-Mer: Rue Biaille De Langibaudière - Socket: EF - T3.

Other charging points are available throughout the département.

  • Suitcases and large hiking bags are not permitted. Small bags (smaller than cabin size) are permitted.
  • Animals are not allowed, even in a carry-on bag, with the exception of guide dogs for the blind or for assistance.
  • Smoking and eating are prohibited in the monument.
  • Knives are prohibited.
  • Scooters are prohibited.
  • The monument is not accessible to minors unaccompanied by a responsible adult.
